More than 100 Northwestern University undergraduate students gathered for a Pre-Health Day hosted at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine on January 25. The  event was designed specifically for Northwestern undergraduates interested in pursuing careers in the health professions.

Students had an opportunity to learn about Feinberg’s Doctor of Medicine (MD), Physician Assistant (PA), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and the Masters of Prosthetics and Orthotics (MPO) programs. They also gained insights on research opportunities and student life, and met with current students, faculty members and admissions staff to ask questions and learn about the application process.

Attendees were given a student-led tour of the medical campus which included visiting the spaces of Northwestern Simulation, the Anatomy Lab and Galter Health Sciences Library.

“Feinberg’s Pre-Health Day offered a special opportunity to explore the tapestry of healthcare highlighting the robust training programs offered at Feinberg,” said Roopal Kundu, MD, the Jacob R. Suker, MD, Professor of Medical Education and associate dean for admissions. “Participants connected directly with a variety of current students and leaders to learn about new and different pathways to reach their goal to improve health.”
