The AAMC/GIA annual competition features the best work by public relations, development, marketing, and alumni relations professionals associated with the nation’s 125 medical schools and 400 teaching hospitals. One hundred twenty-five entries were received in the 2005 competition, and 16 were entered in the special issue category. Due to the keen competition, the judges also awarded several Awards of Distinction in that category.
