Dean’s Clinical Research Day Slated for May 8

Dean’s Clinical Research Day Slated for May 8

Research day The Feinberg School of Medicine will hold its first Dean’s Clinical Research Day on Thursday, May 8, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. in Conference Room A of Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Feinberg Pavilion.

Focusing on reproductive science, the program features Jean D. Wilson, MD, clinical professor of internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and Stephen Franks, MD, professor of reproductive endocrinology from the Imperial College of Medicine in London.

Also speaking will be the following from the Feinberg School who are engaged in clinical research in this area: David A. Fishman, MD, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology; Susan M. Gapstur, PhD, associate professor of preventive medicine; J. Larry Jameson, MD, PhD, Irving S. Cutter Professor of Medicine and chair of the Department of Medicine; V. Craig Jordan, PhD, DSc, Diana, Princess of Wales Professor of Cancer Research; Boyd E. Metzger, MD, professor of medicine; Gustavo C. Rodriquez, MD, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology; Susan Sam, MD, endocrinology fellow; and Margrit Urbanek, PhD, assistant professor of medicine.

The research day, which is approved for AMA CME credit (Category 1), is hosted by Dean Lewis Landsberg, MD; Philip Greenland, MD, Dingman Professor of Cardiology and chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine; and Andrea E. Dunaif, MD, Kettering Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism and endocrinology division chief.
