Dr. Sandra Weintraub to Speak on Aging and Memory
Northwestern Alzheimer’s disease expert Sandra Weintraub, PhD, will speak on Thursday, December 12, 2002, in north suburban Riverwoods, Illinois, about the changes in thinking abililities that come with normal aging and how they differ from the changes that occur with dementia found in Alzheimer’s disease. The lecture, titled “Aging and Memory: Intervention and Prevention,” is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Brentwood North Healthcare Center, located at 3705 Deerfield Road in Riverwoods. A reception follows the lecture. To make a reservation, call 847/459-1200 by December 9. Dr. Weintraub is professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and neurology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She joined the faculty in 1994 and since 1996 has been clinical core director of the Northwestern Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
