Annual Report Available Online
Discover, the Feinberg School of Medicine’s 2004â05 annual report, is available online. Formatted to resemble a travel guide, Discover not only highlights the school’s progress in education, research, and clinical services but also describes “sights to see” on campus ranging from portraits and busts of individuals with a prominent role in the school’s history to the elegant “wave” ceiling of the new Hughes Auditorium of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center of Northwestern University.
Additional features include profiles of faculty members involved in carrying out the school’s education, research, and clinical services missions as well as faculty members and alumni who contribute their time to community service activities in Chicago and across the globe.
Produced by the medical school’s Office of Publications and Public Relations, with design by Pivot Design, Inc. of Chicago and photography by Jim Ziv, the annual report has won recognition in three design competitions. It was chosen by a panel of award-winning designers for inclusion in the Black Book AR100 Show, a prestigious show of 100 annual reports; will appear in Applied Arts magazine’s 2006 annual issue of award-winning design pieces; and will receive wide exposure in the Regional Design Annual of the national graphic design magazine Print, a high-profile publication for the design industry.
