Of the 350 physicians selected as “Top Doctors” by Chicago magazine, one- third are on faculty at the Feinberg School of Medicine. The magazine’s January 2004 issue identifies physicians in 58 specialties who garnered recognition through a survey conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Castle Connolly contacted thousands of health care professionals in metropolitan Chicago, asking them to whom they would send an ill family member for care.
Among the 115 Feinberg physicians making this year’s list, 4 were chosen to be profiled by the magazine: David Chen, MD, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation and medical director of the spinal cord injury program at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago; Sherman Elias, MD, John J. Sciarra, MD, PhD, Professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology; Susan M. Rubin, MD, instructor in neurology and director of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare’s Women’s Neurology Center at Glenbrook Hospital; and Robin H. Steinhorn, MD, professor of pediatrics and neonatology division chief at Children’s Memorial Hospital.
