Anatomy Wins Top Publications Honor
The Association of American Medical Colleges/Group on Institutitional Advancement (AAMC/GIA) has awarded Anatomy of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, the school’s annual report for fiscal year 2004, an Award of Excellence (the top honor) in the single or special issue category in the group’s annual competition. The school’s Office of Publications and Public Relations will receive a certificate and check on March 29 during the AAMC/GIA spring conference in Austin, Texas.
The AAMC/GIA annual competition features the best work by public relations, development, marketing, and alumni relations professionals associated with the nation’s 125 medical schools and 400 teaching hospitals. One hundred twenty-five entries were received in the 2005 competition, and 16 were entered in the special issue category. Due to the keen competition, the judges also awarded several Awards of Distinction in that category.
Contributing to Anatomy were Ellen Soo Hoo, Laura Bleiler, Michael Nyquist, and Mandy Stadtmiller, Office of Publications and Public Relations; Jean Benzies and Cheryl SooHoo, freelance writers; Jill Kristen Misawa and Liz Haldeman, Pivot Design; and photographer Jim Ziv.
