Alumni Weekend Slated for April 25-26

Alumni Weekend 2003Nearly 400 Northwestern medical alumni and their guests will celebrate Alumni Weekend 2003, April 25–26, as well as two historic events: the 135th anniversary of the first meeting of the Medical Alumni Association and the medical school’s 100th alumni weekend.

The annual reunion will feature informative lectures, campus and Chicago tours, class dinners, alumni luncheons, and a special Anniversary Ball at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Participants will have “interactive” opportunities to explore state-of-art technology and tools used to teach today’s medical students and residents. And a new retirement workshop will provide alumni and their significant others with insight to the emotional, social, and professional elements of life after medicine.

“The Class of 1963 suggested the topic, and we thought it was a great idea,” says Ginny Darakjian, assistant dean for alumni relations. “We have had a good response to this pilot offering, and a number of alumni have already signed up for the workshop.”
